Abstract

As first-tier vendors such as BlackBerry, HTC, and Samsung successively launched new flagship mobile devices before and after the 2013 MWC (Mobile World Congress), which ended on 28 February, the spotlight has fallen on operating systems, new applications, and technological development, rather than on mobile phones. This report touches on the development trends of the mobile phone industry in 2013 in terms of technologies and applications based on the observation at the 2013 MWC.
